there is no show that cares more about its minor characters than elementary
if i wrote a fic where sherlock finds out he has a daughter and takes her in because she has a drug problem like he had, and joan adopted her to help out as a legal guardian in case something happened to sherlock…would you guys read it?

Sherlock Holmes is aromantic as fuck.
Joan Watson is on the aro-spectrum too, most likely gray-romantic with a very rare frequency of romantic attraction that’s never quite clear.
It’s all right there in canon, you guys.
