Okay first off, I ship Captain Swan to the ends of the earth.
I never thought I’d be capable of letting go of my first OTP, my Swarkles. To believe I could find another OTP. That is…until I met Captain Swan.
But let me take you on a spiritual journey.
Technically technically Hook is Henry’s grandpa. Let me explain to you a thing:
Okay, so you know the whole deal with Hook and Milah galvanting across the seven seas together. Then there’s also the whole deal of Milah being Neal’s mother whom is Henry’s father…
I mean at one point Killian even tried to take Neal into his crew and raise him as his own son.
Still not convinced? Let’s look at it this way: if Milah had never been killed and things somehow worked out the same way that everyone ended up in Storybrooke and all that shiz, then Henry wouldn’t be calling Killian “mommy’s boyfriend”, he’d be calling him “pappy.”
Like with Belle. Belle isn’t biologically related to Henry but he still considers her to be his g-ma. Even before her and Rumple tied the knot.
And we’re never really given a lot of information on Killian and Milah’s little adventures. As in love as they were, they could have very well gotten married out at sea or something during their time off screen.
And I mean, Milah died while she was still in a relationship with Hook so he’s not her ex, he’s her widow. And now he’s dating his “step-son’s” baby mama.
Henry’s maybe (fingers crossed) could-be-soon step-daddy is also his grandpa.
Just to put things in perspective for you there.
What needs to happen between Hook and Emma when Once Upon a Time comes back in March:
I’m really not much of a shipper. I never had any OTPs, and if I did think two characters were cute I’d mildly hope they’d get together, but that was it. I was more into brOTPs, to be honest. And then I found these little fuckers.
Emma Swan and Hook.
Like seriously. This isn’t okay. Now every time I watch Once Upon a Time I pay super close attention to those two and everything they do. It was like a life or death situation for me. If they didn’t end up together my life would just implode. Yes, implode. Cause that shit’s scarier than exploding. I mean where the hell does that shit go afterwards? Anyways…
And then I saw that damn promo and they kissed and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. Sunday can not come soon enough. It gives me butterflies every time I even think of it. I HAVE NEVER BEEN INTO SHIPPING OR OTPS BEFORE. But these two, they’re the exception. Well done, Once Upon a Time writers. Well done.
